• Phone Number: Your phone number is your sign-in identifier. We use it to send one-time passcodes over SMS and to identify your account. We do not share it with analytics providers or use it for marketing — see our SMS Terms for details
• Account Information: Email address (if provided), username, password (encrypted)
• Birth Information: Date, time, and place of birth (required for astrological calculations)
• Profile Information: Name (optional)

1.2 Usage Information

We automatically collect certain information when you use our services:

• Device information (browser type, operating system)
• IP address and approximate location
• Usage patterns and preferences
• Session information and authentication tokens

1.3 Astrological Data and Your Content

We generate and store:

• Birth charts and astrological calculations
• Personalized forecasts and interpretations
• Theme pack cards and insights
• Journal entries, dream logs, and chat conversations (if you use those features)

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide Services: Generate accurate birth charts, transits, and personalized astrological insights
• Account Management: Authenticate users, manage accounts, and provide customer support
• Improve Services: Analyze usage patterns (under a pseudonymous account identifier, not your phone number or name) to enhance our features and user experience
• Communications: Send verification codes, security alerts, and service updates
• Legal Compliance: Comply with applicable laws and regulations

2.1 SMS Communications

We use SMS exclusively for authentication purposes:

• One-time passwords (OTP) for secure login
• No marketing or promotional messages
• Phone numbers are never sold or shared for marketing

3. AI Processing of Your Content

FMRX's core features are powered by artificial intelligence. To generate journal analysis, daily debriefs, and conversations with Sidereus (our AI astrologer), we send content to AI providers for processing:

• What is sent: The journal entries, dream logs, and chat messages you write, together with the astrological context (such as your birth chart and current transits) needed to generate a response
• Who processes it: OpenAI and Anthropic, via their commercial APIs
• Not used for AI training: Under our API agreements, these providers do not use your content to train their models
• Provider retention: Providers may retain API inputs for a limited period for abuse monitoring in accordance with their API terms, after which they are deleted. The insights generated for you are stored in your FMRX account
• How to decline: AI processing is integral to the journal analysis, debrief, and chat features — if you do not want your written content processed by these providers, do not use those features. You can delete individual journal and dream entries at any time, and you can delete your account and all associated content (see Section 6)

4. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information:

• Encryption: All passwords are encrypted using secure hashing algorithms
• Secure Transmission: HTTPS encryption for all data transmission
• Access Controls: Limited access to personal data on a need-to-know basis
• Regular Security Audits: Periodic review of our security practices

5. Data Sharing and Service Providers

5.1 We Do NOT:

• Sell your personal information to third parties
• Share your birth information or astrological data with marketers
• Use your phone number for marketing purposes or share it with analytics providers

5.2 Service Providers We Work With

We share data with the following service providers, each only to the extent needed to perform its function. We require every provider to protect your data under terms at least as protective as this Privacy Policy:

• Twilio (SMS delivery): Receives your phone number and the one-time passcode in order to deliver sign-in text messages
• OpenAI and Anthropic (AI processing): Receive the content described in Section 3 in order to generate insights and responses
• Amplitude (product analytics): Receives a pseudonymous account identifier (a random ID, not your phone number or name), device and OS information, and in-app usage events. It does not receive your journal entries, chat messages, or birth information
• Sentry (error monitoring): Receives crash reports and diagnostic data when the app encounters an error. Reports are scrubbed of phone numbers, authentication tokens, and URL parameters before they leave your device
• RevenueCat (subscription management): Receives a pseudonymous account identifier and your purchase and subscription state in order to manage your subscription across platforms
• Apple and Stripe (payments): In-app purchases are processed by Apple; web purchases are processed by Stripe. Your card details go directly to the payment processor — we never receive or store full card numbers
• Google Cloud (hosting): Our servers and databases run on Google Cloud infrastructure, where your account data is stored

5.3 Other Disclosures

• For Legal Reasons: When required by law or to protect our rights and safety
• With Your Consent: When you explicitly authorize us to share information

6. Your Rights and Choices

You have the right to:

• Access Your Data: Request a copy of your personal information
• Update Information: Correct or update your account details
• Delete Your Account: Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Opt-Out: Unsubscribe from non-essential communications
• Data Portability: Receive your astrological data in a portable format

7. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as:

• Your account remains active
• Necessary to provide you with our services
• Required for legal or business purposes

Upon account deletion, we will remove your personal information within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

8. Children's Privacy

FMRX is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected information from a child, please contact us immediately.

9. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

10. Third-Party Services

Where our services rely on third parties to process your data (see Section 5.2), we require by contract that those providers protect your data to a standard equal to or greater than the protections described in this Privacy Policy. Our services may also contain links to independent third-party websites we do not operate; those sites are governed by their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to read.
